Fiona’s Story

Fiona was found after 7 hours!

Around 2 PM this past Wednesday, a 20-year-old kitty named Fiona slipped out through an open front door. Her owner was heartbroken and worried about her elderly indoor cat’s safety, so she quickly got the word out online—which is how I got involved. 😺

She had already walked the neighborhood, but I encouraged her to focus on the area immediately around her home (about 250 sq. ft.). Skittish cats like Fiona usually stay very close to home, too scared to move until they absolutely have to.

After checking her house on Google Maps, I suggested Fiona likely exited to the left into a line of bushes. I told her to use a flashlight—even during the day—because cat eyes will reflect the light.

Sure enough, with a super-bright flashlight, she spotted Fiona’s eyes in the bushes! She calmly coaxed her by talking to her and opening the door—and Fiona ran straight back inside to everyone’s relief. 💕
